Gemini (formerly Bard)

Google Gemini is the brand for Google's current generation of AI models and the conversational assistant powered by them (formerly known as Bard). Accessed via a web interface, mobile app, and increasingly integrated into Google products like Search and Android, Gemini leverages models like Gemini Pro and Ultra. It aims to be a helpful assistant for tasks like drafting text, summarizing information, answering questions grounded in real-time web search results, brainstorming, coding, and translation. For professional use, Gemini for Google Workspace integrates these capabilities directly into apps like Gmail, Docs, and Sheets, allowing users to leverage AI within their workflow using organizational data (similar to Copilot for M365). Gemini for Workspace is designed with enterprise privacy, ensuring organizational data is not used for training general models. As with other general LLMs, using Gemini for legal tasks requires extreme caution regarding accuracy and confidentiality (especially non-Workspace versions), and it cannot substitute for legal expertise or specialized tools.
